2014 has been a monumental year for NHSmail and the dedicated NHS system has seen significant progression in every area – number of users, satisfaction rates, service performance and benefits delivered have all reached record highs.
NHSmail is a secure email service run by the NHS and it is the only
NHS email system accredited to ‘Government OFFICIAL SENSITIVE’ status
and endorsed by professional bodies for the purpose of sharing patient
identifiable and other sensitive information.
Already used by more than half a million employees on a daily basis in England and Scotland, the number of users looks set to escalate in the coming months in light of the new Secure Email standard being driven by HSCIC, which has prompted many NHS organisations up and down the country to review their current email systems.
More organisations are recognising the benefits of this modern business-critical email system, and alongside an appropriate archiving solution, any issues with migration, mailbox size limitations, privacy and retrieval will be quickly overcome.
